"Teaching people about the world in which we live."
The object of this project is to develop a skit that depicts one aspect of life in Australia 100 years ago. In your group discuss what you think might compose a normal event or day in the life of an Aussie from this time period. You may pick a social gathering, a day around the ranch, or any other event that you think is likely to have been part of their lives. You will need to be able to act out this event in the form of a skit. You may want to bring in props from home or even dress for the parts that you will play.
After you have decided on the event you will portray, you need to write a script or an outline. Then assign parts and practice the skit. You will be given 5 to 7 minutes to enact this skit for your fellow classmates.
You will be graded on participation, originality, entertainment, accuracy, and your script. You will need a clean copy of the script to hand in for grading purposes.
