- For information about Nitrogen Narcosis this site
is a good place to start.

with large print, but high level vocabulary (apparatus, cylinder, enables, recreation).
Primarily a picture book.
- Down Under: Diving adventures on the Great Barrier Reef by Ann McGovern.
Macmillan Publishing Co:NY , 1989.The author takes the perspective of a 12 year old girl
who writes of diving on the Great Barrier Reef with a research/adventure expedition. It is
a very interesting book and shows diving from the perspective of an adolescent. The author
has won an award (Notable Childrens Science Book) for a similar book, Night Dive.
- SCUBA diving by Dennis Graver. Human Kinetics Publishers: Champaign, IL, 1993.
It is quite thorough. It discusses care of equipment, as well as presenting a
discussion of gasses. It is easily read, but definitely on an adult level.
